Universal Seniors Social Services Uganda (USSSU) plans to provide service to communities in Elgon region of Eastern Uganda. We strive for simplicity in structure and depend on teamwork, voluntary service, and donations to support our vision. In USSSU, we support cultural diversity and inclusion. Seniors from all walks of life are welcome, seniors with disabilities, and seniors from all ethnic communities, religions, cultures, racialized communities, and gender identities, living in Elgon region.

History
​
The idea of USSSU was born to the Betty Wakou and Mary Khanakwa in September 2020 during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic. They discussed the plight of the seniors and the gaps in services. Several seniors did not survive the pandemic.

Vision and Mission
​
USSSU is a Charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of seniors in Uganda, which is one of the most vulnerable populations in our country.
Our mission is to meet gaps in the lives of seniors ages 75 years and older by engaging local communities to provide care and meeting seniors’ food security, nutrition, medical including HIV/AIDS and psychosocial needs.
Our Vision is to improve lives of seniors in Uganda to live a secure and dignified life.

In order to fulfill the above vision and mission, the purpose of USSSU is to: Meet gaps to reduce poverty and destitution; meet good nutrition, health and education (including HIV/AIDS), restore dignity and independence; create employment for seniors; engage participation of local community-based programs in the care of seniors, create awareness of HIV/AIDS among seniors and dependents, and promote the wellbeing and productivity of seniors, and to integrate them in today's economy, politics and society

In order to fulfill the above vision and mission, the purpose of USSSU shall be to:
